About Us
Sisters Glass Art is the passion of sisters Laurie and Beth who both share an excitement for creating with glass.
During a girls weekend with her mom and sisters, Laurie found fused glass. She immediately fell in love with the process. Over the course of several years, she took various classes, watched tutorials and did a lot of experimenting. “One of the great things about working with fused glass is there are so many techniques that I feel like I am constantly learning. I am truly blessed to have an amazing family that supports my passion” – Laurie
“In an effort to expand my appreciation for glass I attended a fused glass class through NWTC Artisan Center. It sparked my interest in the many techniques used and the immense possibilities with fused glass. Upon retiring from a career in health care, I now have time to explore various techniques and styles. My enthusiasm for fused glass grows as I learn more daily. Opening the kiln each day, is like unwrapping a gift!”-Beth
Laurie and Beth have created glass art in many forms including garden stones, mosaics, larger stained glass works and now fused glass. Beth is currently one of the Resident Artists at the NWTC Artisan Center. Laurie and Beth combine their products and go to art markets/shows together.
